**Seesaw** articulates afterimage and memory. The title refers to the English word for seesaw—a playground device based on balance, gravity, weight, and counterweight.
The installation features two monitors with minimal visual elements: the words **SEE** (to see, in the present) and **SAW** (to see, in the past), in white letters on a black background. The words only appear when two people stand in front of each monitor, simultaneously activating the work.
After three seconds, each word disappears and gives way to a white frame where its afterimage persists for a few moments—the visual impression that remains after the stimulus ends. SEE and SAW alternate between presence and trace, configuring a fleeting memory: a trace of a recently passed time and, at the same time, a gaze that witnesses the present traversed by the past.
